Introduction

Hungersoft’s Multiple Flat Rate Pro extension for Magento 2 allows store owners to easily create unlimited custom flat rate shipping methods in their online store.

Multiple Flat Rate Pro extension has following features:

• You can create unlimited custom flat rate Shipping methods.
• Easily create/delete custom flat rate shipping methods from dedicated grid in Magento backoffice.
• Enable/disable each custom flat rate shipping method individually.
• Enable each method for a specific country, multiple countries or even all countries.

Installation

Web Setup Wizard

Unpack extension files: Log in to our website. Download the Base Extension. Unpack the Base extension file downloaded from our site and upload the contents of the file to the root directory of your Magento installation. Unpack the purchased extension file downloaded from our site and upload the contents of the file to the root directory of your Magento installation.
Go to System > Web Setup Wizard.
Select component manager to install the extension.
Enable Modules: Click on Select link on the Base Extension row(Module Name: HS_All). Click the Enable button on the menu that pops up. Next, click on the Select link on the row corresponding to the extension you downloaded (Module Name: HS_MultipleFlatRatePro).
Step 1: Readiness Check Click on the button Start Readiness Check to check you are running Magento on a compatible environment. Click Next upon completion of previous step.
Step 2: Create Backup Create a backup before you install the extension, by selecting the check-boxes against the Backup Options and clicking the button Create Backup. Click Next, upon completion.
Step 3: Enable Module Click on the button Enable.
You will see this page as your module installation is in progress. You can check for errors in the Console Log.
Module installation complete.

Configuration

Once the extension is successfully installed in your Magento 2.x build, you will see a new tab ‘Hungersoft Multiple Flat Rate Pro’ in left menu pane of your Magento backend. Click on this tab and then click on ‘Methods’ to open the grid page. Click ‘Add New Method’ button to add your own custom Flat Rate shipping method.

This new page will have 2 empty fields. ‘Method code’ and ‘Method name’ values can be any unique and recognisable values. Once you have entered these values, click on ‘Save method’ button. That is all you need to do to create a new Flat Rate shipping method.

Repeat this process for as many Flat Rate shipping methods you want to create. In our example, we have created 4 custom Flat Rate shipping methods. You see these listed in this dedicated grid page. From here you can edit or delete these custom shipping methods.

Now you have created your custom Flat Rate shipping methods, but you also need to activate and configure those shipping methods. You can do that from Stores > Settings > Configurations > Sales > Shipping Methods > You will see that all the custom shipping methods that you created are listed here.

You can configure each one of them individually as per your requirements. Hungersoft’s Multiple Flat Rate Pro [M2] extension is developed by extending the standard Magento Flat Rate shipping method and hence the custom shipping methods created by this extension have all the features that are available in standard Flat rate shipping method. Once you have configured your custom Flat Rate shipping methods in backend, you will be able to see them on Checkout page shipping methods block.
