Premium Tablerates extension allows you to configure different shipping rates for different countries. This section will explain a few possibilities on how to configure shipping rates for different countries.

Configure different rates for countries

The below csv will show you how to configure different rates for USA, Canada and some countries in Europe. The country codes in the country column of the CSV can be either in ISO 3 or ISO 2 format. To know more about the country column, please check our section on CSV Import / Export.

In this example, customer will be offered the following shipping options based on their shipping country:

USA:

  1. Standard - $10
  2. Same Day - $30
  3. Next Business Day - $20

Canada:

  1. Standard - $20

Europe: (France and Germany):

  1. Standard - $50

When USA is selected 3 different shipping options with different rates for each option will be available, whereas when Canada or one of the countries in Europe is selected a Standard shipping option is displayed with different price depending on whether the country is Canada or is in Europe. When any country other than the ones listed above is selected, no shipping option will be displayed to the customer.

Country Region/State City Zip From Zip To Weight >= Weight < Price >= Price < Qty >= Qty < Shipping Price Algorithm Shipping Method Sort Order
USA * * * * * * * * * * 10 * Standard *
USA * * * * * * * * * * 20 * Next Business Day *
USA * * * * * * * * * * 30 * Same Day *
CAN * * * * * * * * * * 20 * Standard *

Different rates to USA/Canada and rest of the world

In the previous example, shipping options were available only for USA, Canada, Germany and France. This is good when you ship only to specific countries. But in certain cases when you might want to ship worldwide with specific rates to few countries and a rate for rest of the world, specifying the same right for the rest of countries manually might not a feasible option. This example explains how to set a different rate for undefined countries.

In this example, USA and Canada will be offered a specific rate and the rest of the world will be offered a different standard rate.

Country Region/State City Zip From Zip To Weight >= Weight < Price >= Price < Qty >= Qty < Shipping Price Algorithm Shipping Method Sort Order
USA, CAN * * * * * * * * * * 20 * USA and Canada Shipping *
* * * * * * * * * * * 50 * Worldwide Shipping *

Restrict shipping options to countries

In certain cases, you might want to offer a certain shipping option to the entire world except a few countries. In this example, we will show you how to offer a Standard delivery option at a fixed rate of $50 to the entire world except USA and Canada. This option will be available only when the customer's shipping country is not USA or Canada.

Country Region/State City Zip From Zip To Weight >= Weight < Price >= Price < Qty >= Qty < Shipping Price Algorithm Shipping Method Sort Order
* * * * * * * * * * * 50 * Standard *
USA, CAN * * * * * * * * * * -1 * Standard *
